A Chubb Ltd. unit improperly delayed and refused to cover product liability claims related to a drug used to treat gout and kidney stones, two pharmaceutical companies told a Delaware state court.

Westchester Surplus Lines Insurance Co. has a duty to defend and indemnify the companies in underlying litigation concerning allopurinol, Rising Pharma Holdings Inc. and Casper Pharma LLC said in a complaint filed Wednesday in the Delaware Superior Court.
