For a second consecutive year, Chambers USA has recognized the national insurance recovery practice of Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C for both Client Service and Commercial Awareness-- one of just two insurance recovery firms to be recognized in both of these categories.
In the Client Service tables, Chambers cited an Anderson Kill client who stated, "The AKO lawyers worked as an effective team for the benefit of the client. They continued to build on our existing relationship, not by billing more but by offering more in terms of ongoing news and analysis.” In the Commercial Awareness category, an Anderson Kill client noted, "Anderson Kill is very good at dealing with insurance companies. The lawyers have tons of knowledge and it is very helpful to have someone who knows what they are dealing with.”
Noting that "clients are especially impressed by the firm’s dedication and involvement in their business decisions,” Chambers ranks the New York practice in the top tier for Insurance: Dispute Resolution - Policyholder, and continues to recognize the New Jersey practice for Commercial: Litigation (Insurance) and the firm Nationwide for Insurance: Dispute Resolution.
Once again singled out for individual recognition nationwide and in New York were the firm’s president, Robert M. Horkovich and insurance recovery practice co-chair, William G. Passannante. Finley Harckham, shareholder in the firm’s New York office was also recognized in New York, and Steven J. Pudell, managing shareholder of the firm's Newark, NJ office was recognized in New Jersey.
Chambers found that Bob Horkovich is praised by all as a "tireless defender of his clients” and "particularly highly regarded for his deep experience and pragmatic approach.” Bill Passannante is "respected by peers for his work in the policyholder D&O liability space.”
Steve Pudell is described by sources to be an "extremely knowledgeable policyholder attorney,” and Finley Harckham "is a favorite among clients,” one of whom says he is "as reasonable, confident and as adept at taking a hard line as he is at finding workable compromises.”
"Chambers ratings are valuable because they're based on the assessments of the people who matter most -- our clients," said Robert M. Horkovich. "We are particularly proud to win repeat recognition for client service and commercial awareness -- bespeaking success maintaining our core values."
