Chambers USA 2011 has recognized the national insurance recovery practice of Anderson Kill for Client Service and Commercial Awareness, two new rating categories added to Chambers' annual assessment of U.S. law firms.

More broadly, Anderson Kill was recognized Nationwide and in New York as a leading firm in Insurance: Dispute Resolution: Policyholder, and in New Jersey for Litigation: Insurance.

In the Client Service tables, Chambers cited an Anderson Kill client who stated, "This team is outstanding for service. The lawyers are more conscious of responsiveness than any firm I have worked with."  In the Commercial Awareness category, an Anderson Kill client asserted, "The lawyers have a total command of this area, coupled with excellent trial and appellate skills."

Of the insurance recovery group generally, Chambers reports, "Sources say: ‘A top-notch firm for any insurance coverage disputes. They are engaged in battles with firms representing insurance companies all the time. We have been tremendously satisfied with their work product.'"

Singled out for individual recognition nationwide and in New York were Robert M. Horkovich and insurance recovery practice Co-chair William G. Passannante, along with Steven J. Pudell, managing shareholder of the firm's Newark, NJ office.

Chambers found that Messrs. Horkovich and Passannante "are held in the highest regard by the market," citing a client who said, "Both of those attorneys are the real deal -- they are just terrific coverage lawyers."   Mr. Pudell was found by clients to be "trustworthy, personable" and admired for his "creative efforts and willingness to put the effort into getting the work done on time."
