Anderson Kill Congratulates Former Colleague M. Hannah Lauck upon her Confirmation to Federal Bench

Anderson Kill congratulates U.S. Magistrate Judge M. Hannah Lauck, an alumna of the firm, upon confirmation by the United States Senate to the federal bench in Eastern District of Virginia.

Judge Lauck was nominated to the U.S. District Court by President Obama in December 2013 and re-nominated this January. She was confirmed by the Senate on June 10 by a 90-0 vote.

After graduating from Yale Law School in 1991, Judge Lauck served as a law clerk for Judge James R. Spencer of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia from 1991 to 1992. She then joined Anderson Kill's Washington, D.C. office, where she worked from September 28, 1992 to August 26, 1994, having first served as a summer associate at the firm in 1990. From 1994 to 2004, she was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, and after a brief stint in the private sector became a United States Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Virginia, her position upon confirmation to the Eastern District judgeship.
