Chambers USA 2024 Ranks Anderson Kill’s Insurance Recovery Practices Among Nation’s Best; Eight Attorneys Ranked

Chambers USA Guide has ranked Anderson Kill’s national insurance recovery practice among top policyholder-side insurance dispute resolution practices for the nineteenth consecutive year.  The firm’s New York practice was ranked in the top band for insurance dispute resolution; the New Jersey practice moved from Band 3 to Band 2 for insurance; and the Pennsylvania practice was ranked for the first time.

According to a client cited by Chambers, Anderson Kill’s national practice is “a high quality team capable of handling multiparty disputes and taking on coverage matters in diverse areas such as asbestos liability, bodily injury, data breach and financial lines.”  A client says of the national practice, “The team is very knowledgeable and thorough, demonstrating excellent communication and understanding of client expectations.”

Of Anderson Kill’s New York practice, Chambers writes, “Its outstanding trial capabilities are backed up by a ready command of all types of coverage, from major environmental and asbestos claims to data breaches and property damage.”  A Chambers client deems the New York practice “a strong and well-coordinated team that provides incredibly prompt responses.”   The New Jersey practice, according to clients, is “extremely responsive” and “very knowledgeable on current law and market trends.”  A Pennsylvania client finds the PA practice “fantastic at handling complex matters delicately.”

Chambers reports that Robert Horkovich, Anderson Kill’s managing shareholder and chair of the firm’s Insurance Recovery Group, “is held in high regard for his substantial expertise in representing policyholders in complex coverage disputes including asbestos and business interruption cases. He has also taken several cases to state supreme courts.”  A client notes, ”Robert is a fantastic lawyer with extraordinary competence in insurance recoveries.” Another deems him “a fount of knowledge and very client oriented.”

Chambers writes that William Passannante is “noted for his strengths in D&O, product liability and asbestos insurance claims.”  According to a client, Bill “knows the insurance space inside out.”

Finley Harckham, says a client, “is a wonderful leader and attorney with great people skills.“

According to Chambers,  Joshua Gold, chair of Anderson Kill’s Cyber Insurance Recovery Group,  ”exhibits significant expertise representing policyholder clients in major recovery claims relating to cybersecurity. ”  Josh “is great on cyber losses,” opines a client.
