• For amicus curiae United Policyholders in support of Huntington Ingalls, a September 2022 Vermont Supreme Court decision finding that the shipbuilder and its captive insurer may seek coverage from reinsurers for “direct physical loss or damage” and resulting business interruption caused by the presence of the coronavirus.
• Successfully represented domestic and foreign specialist freight forwarders for defense litigation, indemnity matters, subrogation issues and cargo insurance coverage claims involving, among other things, marine lashing equipment, engineering services, and industrial marine crane damage during ocean transit.
• Successfully represented a not-for-profit oceanographic institution for marine cargo insurance claims, indemnity claims and subrogation arising from a submarine damage and repair claim.
• Successfully represented a commodities trading firm in litigation over marine cargo insurance coverage for stolen commodities at an international port.
• Successfully represented a commercial port operator for damage to piers and docks in connection with Superstorm Sandy damage, ship allision claims and maritime liability insurance.
