Harris Gershman is an insurance policy analyst in Anderson Kill's New York office. He has extensive experience in insurance coverage matters involving complex coverage issues as well as trial preparation. Harris is a member of the firm's COVID Task Group.

During almost 25 years at Anderson Kill, Harris has provided litigation support on many complex environmental insurance recovery cases and trials. Working with experts in policy history and insurance archaeologists in the United States and abroad, he has succeeded in locating evidence of many so-called "missing policies," thereby providing additional sources of potential coverage.

Harris has also assisted attorneys in the insurance recovery group with regard to asbestos trust insurance recovery. As part of the firm's policy analysis team, he brings clarity to decades of corporate coverage while providing clues to missing policies and assists in a proper evaluation of a program's relevant coverage and recovery potentials.

In recent years, Harris has assisted the firm's insurance insolvency attorneys by tracking the various domestic and foreign solvent and insolvent insurance companies, monitoring their closing schedules and keeping abreast of claim submission deadlines and requirements. He coordinates the preparation and submission of Proofs of Claims and participates in the follow up negotiations and claim valuation resolution process. Through his constant communications with domestic state insurance department personnel as well as foreign Scheme managers, Harris is able to stay on top of the rapidly changing historic corporate insurance coverage landscape while protecting valuable insurance assets.
