Dona S. Kahn is of counsel in Anderson Kill's New York office and is a member of the firm's Employment & Labor Group. An experienced trial lawyer, she has tried more than 30 employment jury trials in courts nationwide, representing major companies and universities in cases primarily involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims. She also has extensive experience investigating complaints of discrimination against companies, universities and non-profits. Further, she has been mediating in the Courts for the last six years, having been certified as a New York State Mediator in 2012.

Dona practiced at Anderson Kill from 1990 to 2008 and returned to the firm in 2018 after a stint in the employment department of another firm while living upstate and then back in the city as a mediator and consultant. Prior to joining Anderson Kill in 1990, Dona was a partner at Harris and Kahn, where she represented management in employment matters, both administratively and in federal and state litigation.

Previously, Dona served as a supervising attorney in the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Litigation Center in Philadelphia, and as Chief, Legal Branch, Enforcement Division of the Environmental Protection Agency's Region III. Prior thereto, Dona also had experience litigating antitrust and unfair trade practice cases under the Packers and Stockyards Act as a trial attorney, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Speaking Engagements

Dona regularly lectures on employment law updates and on minimizing the exposure of liability in employment disputes. She also conducts in-house sexual harassment workshops for companies and non-profits.
