Richard Sandor Jr. is a shareholder in the firm's Connecticut office and serves as the chair of the firm’s Real Estate & Finance Group.. His practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, real estate financing and commercial lending (including bonds, commercial loans, construction loans, swaps, and lines of credit), construction law, corporate law, green technology projects (including solar and battery storage developments) IDA bond financing and straight lease transactions and leasing. He also represents banks, companies, organizations, and businesses on a variety of corporate transactions, such as formation, commercial sales, joint ventures, and other corporate matters.

Richard has almost 30 years of experience with complex real estate and lending transactions. This experience enables him to identify legal risk factors and issues, while implementing legal protections where necessary or advisable. Furthermore, Richard applies this critical thought process to his clients’ overall goals rather than just specific transactions, allowing him to achieve short term results as part of a client’s long term goals.

Richard’s representative clients include lending institutions, private lenders, hospitals, real estate developers, contractors, architects, family funds, companies, and individuals.

Richard graduated with a B.A. cum laude from the University of Colorado and received his J.D. from Albany Law School where he was also an Edgar A. Sandman Fellow.
