Keith Lazere is a shareholder in Anderson Kill’s New York office and also serves as the firm's Deputy General Counsel. He focuses his practice on Corporate and Commercial Litigation at the trial and appellate levels in state and federal court. He represents clients in sophisticated commercial and business litigations involving business torts, fraud, breach of contract, corporate and partnership disputes, employment disputes and debtor and creditor rights.
Keith has an established business divorce practice representing feuding factions in closely held companies in disputes involving dissolutions, valuation/appraisal proceedings and freeze-out mergers. In this area, his work has set precedent under New York's Limited Liability Company Law and Business Corporation Law, achieving, among notable other things, a contested dissolution of an LLC during a receivership and critical discovery from non-parties following the freeze-out of his client’s minority LLC interest for post-merger materials in a case of first impression.
Keith’s construction litigation practice is also active. He has helped his construction clients, including owners, architects, contractors, and engineers, prosecute their claims and defend themselves in lawsuits in connection with a broad array of issues in the space.
