Hon. Ethan Greenberg (Ret.) is a Shareholder in Anderson Kill's New York office and co-chair of the firm's White Collar Defense Practice Group, as well as a member of the firm's Corporate and Commercial Litigation Group. He represents clients in sophisticated commercial litigation, white collar defense and internal investigations.
Prior to joining Anderson Kill, Judge Greenberg was an Acting New York State Supreme Court Justice in Bronx County. In that role he presided over more than one hundred trials, administered calendar and motion parts, conducted hearings and supervised grand juries. He also received specialized training and assignments for domestic violence cases. Previously, Judge Greenberg was a Criminal Court Judge with the New York City Criminal Court.

Before joining the judiciary, Judge Greenberg was a partner at a national law firm based in New York, where he practiced civil and criminal litigation in federal and state courts. He represented clients in a broad range of matters including cases involving insurance coverage, asbestos, securities law, trade dress, employee raiding, and aircraft manufacturer warranties. He was previously a partner at a leading New York law firm where he practiced civil and criminal litigation in matters involving securities fraud, construction delay, Superfund site cleanup, antitrust and alternative energy.
Judge Greenberg serves as an Adjunct Professor at Fordham and Cardozo Law Schools, where he has taught classes in Constitutional Criminal Procedure, New York Civil Practice, and New York Evidence.
After graduating law school, Judge Greenberg was an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office, serving under Robert Morgenthau in the Trial Bureau, Appeals Bureau, and Special Projects Bureau. As an Assistant D.A. he tried cases, argued appeals, and conducted investigations and grand jury presentations.
