He has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for policyholders under a variety of insurance policies relating to a range of first-party and third-party losses. He has experience obtaining coverage under many different policy types, including BPL, D&O, E&O, CGL, Property and Cyber policies. Dan regularly pursues contractual indemnity claims and additional insured coverage in connection with losses and direct coverage claims.
Dan also litigates all areas of intellectual property. He has represented trademark owners in disputes involving domain names, cybersquatting, online infringement and reverse confusion, has appeared before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and has litigated claims of unfair competition, copyright infringement and patent infringement. He also successfully represented a client against the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
