Register today for this on demand program available now.
This program is designed to provide an overview for civil practitioners of many of the issues which confront attorneys who represent victims of international terrorism in the United States federal court system. It will cover the legal issues raised in the pre-suit phase, drafting the pleadings (and service) and initial dispositive motions (failure to state a claim/lack of subject matter jurisdiction/lack of personal jurisdiction), along with a discussion of the principal causes of action, common (and unique) evidentiary issues, and questions of damages.
This program, taught by two partners, Jerry Goldman and Bruce Strong of Anderson Kill, who have represented plaintiffs in terrorism cases for a combined 26 years, is designed as an introductory level course, but it assumes that the viewer will have a basic understanding of the federal practice.
