Insurance and Casualty - How Your Policies Will Respond to Cyber Issues

DATE: Wednesday, May 10, 2023

TIME: 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM

VENUE: Le Méridien, 1121 Walker Street, Houston, Texas

ORGANIZER: The Hospitality Law Conference

As cyber threats continue to pervade the hospitality world, there is increasing overlap between cover offered under standalone cyber policies and general liability. Did the Sony decision effectively close the door on cyber coverage through a CGL policy, or are there still avenues to find coverage? What about other liability policies? Understanding how your insurance policies, particularly your D&O and cyber liability insurance policies, respond to these events is key to understanding your company's balance sheet exposures -- and your own, if you are company officer or director. This session will also examine key measures that businesses in the hospitality industry must take to protect themselves and comply with the law, including how in-house counsel can better work with their IT departments and risk managers.
