Anderson Kill is always on the lookout for bright and energetic individuals to join our team. The firm seeks motivated individuals for a variety of staff positions in such departments as Accounting, Information Technology, Legal Secretary, Administration, and Records. Paralegals are hired at both entry and experienced levels and are hired for either the firm's Corporate or Litigation Departments. Entry-level paralegals are trained in-house and are also mentored by the firm's senior paralegal staff. CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Salary:  Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Ensure credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance, accounting, billing, collections, and payroll functions of the organization.
  • Manage cash flow daily.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range financial planning.
  • Provide the Executive Committee with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Provide shareholder information on the firm's financial position.
  • Responsible for evaluating equity and debt structures to determine affordability of growth and deployment of financial resources / capital.
  • Responsible for communicating financial information to shareholders and stakeholders.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and reporting.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place.
  • Own the Firm's relationship with banks and other financial institutions.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • CPA
  • Proficiency in Aderant (Iridium) and/or Elite Software
  • Five -Ten Years’ experience in the Legal Industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong references

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite:Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint.

BILLING MANAGER

Salary Range:  $105K - $115K

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of invoices issued to clients
  • Resolve billing related issues for AK attorneys and their clients
  • Prepare invoices and follow-up with billing attorneys and their secretaries
  • Carefully monitor discounts for certain matters and apply accordingly
  • Proofread and email / mail final invoices
  • Track bill rejections and coordinate resubmissions
  • Maintenance of client/matter billing information and intake documentation to supply accurate billing instructions and guidelines during the billing process
  • Enter new timekeepers/employees into accounting system
  • In cases where Shareholders / Partners send out bills directly, ensure all communications are recorded
  • Assist paralegals with the preparation of filings of memorandum of costs/fee applications
  • Research, analyze and reconcile accounts in accordance with internal and external client inquiries or as directed
  • Retrieval of disbursement documentation as required or as requested
  • Respond to audit letters with appropriate historical financial information and provide supporting documentation as necessary
  • Prepare 1099 file for Accounts Payable department
  • Supervise and mentor Billing, Cash Applications/Receivable and Collections Coordinators, including conduct performance reviews
  • Send out weekly email regarding submission of time
  • Responsible for closing out time and billing for month end
  • Review data and assist with Iridium dashboard to provide support to end users
  • Act as liaison with Aderant Project Managers and Support to change templates, improve user screens and processes

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional services billing in the legal industry, including at least two years of electronic billing experience
  • Proficiency in Aderant Expert (strongly preferred) or Elite Enterprise software
  • Knowledge of Bill Blast (preferred) or E-Billing Hub
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
