Support Staff and Paralegals

Paralegals are hired at both entry and experienced levels and are hired for either the firm's Corporate or Litigation Departments. Entry-level paralegals are trained in-house and are also mentored by the firm's senior paralegal staff. Part-Time Collections Coordinator
Reports To: Billing Manager
Direct Reports: None
Identify problematic accounts receivable and strategize how to collect past due amounts.
Monitor and document invoice status (e-billing and/or regular bills) for clients in system; follow-up in efforts to ensure timely collection of invoices.
Work with attorneys and clients to resolve delinquent account receivables issues with attorneys and clients.
Document collections activity in appropriate databases and create collections calendar to handle client/attorney follow ups.
Prepare and send monthly client statements.
Review client electronic billing systems and ensure all bills are uploaded correctly; identify and adjust and any billing issues that need to be resolved, including resubmissions and appeal.
Perform routine data processing tasks and input relevant information into systems utilized to facilitate the collections processes.
Identify and help resolve problematic patterns and situations that may adversely impact billing and collections.
Liaise with the external collections agency and send problematic accounts to the agency to commence collections proceedings.
Experience and Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience with law firm collections
Experience and knowledge of Aderant preferred
College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
This position is 7 hours per day, 3 days per week.
