Webinar Recording: 2021 UPDATE ON CYBER INSURANCE AND RANSOMWARE CLAIMS ENVIRONMENT

2021 has proven to be another challenging year in dealing with harms caused by cyber risk and disputed insurance claims.  Hackers have taken full advantage of home office computing during the pandemic, vulnerabilities in organizational systems leading to the injection of ransomware, and other exploits thereby exposing many to regulatory and law enforcement concerns.  Couple the perilous risk landscape with a hardening cyber insurance market and policyholder have their hands full.  Not all news is bad, however, as several court cases this year and last have demonstrated that insurance coverage for cyber claims is broader than what some insurance companies are willing to admit.  This session will address important developments in cyber risk management, provide an overview of important recent case law, and provide tips on how to navigate the constant challenges presented in this arena.
