Effective July 1, 2026, a new Rhode Island statute allows victims of historic sexual abuse to bring tort claims seeking damages from the harm caused by abuse that happened many years ago that previously would have been time-barred under standard Statutes of Limitations.  We have assembled a panel of experts to discuss important tort and insurance law issues relevant to these claims, which are certain to spike this summer
