Anderson Kill Joins Interleges, an International Legal Consortium

New York, NY (June 26, 2008) -- Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. announced today that it has joined Interleges, a pre-eminent consortium of law firms located in twenty countries throughout the European Union, Eastern Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. Anderson Kill is one of two Interleges members in the United States, and the only American firm to provide comprehensive representation.
Interleges enables medium-sized and boutique law firms that maintain a domestic focus to offer their clients highly skilled representation throughout the countries in which member firms are located. The referral network, complemented by collaboration between member firms, offers clients a cost-effective alternative to representation by firms with a multinational presence. The areas of law most commonly referred within Interleges include contract disputes, intellectual property issues, and transnational litigation and arbitration.
Interleges members also collaborate on projects such as publications and seminars for clients, as well as in professional matters. Exchanges between member firms are common, allowing lawyers to spend time learning the laws and customs of another jurisdiction. Members also meet annually for a three day conference focused on cross-border legal issues. The 2008 meeting focused on differing national standards for recognition and enforcement of designation of origin and geographical attribution marks.
