Anderson Kill's New Jersey office hires three new attorneys, appoints Steve Pudell Managing Shareholder 4/16/2008


New York, NJ (4/16/08) – Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. is pleased to announce the expansion and reorganization of the firm’s Newark, NJ office.
Steve Pudell who joined Anderson Kill in 1997, has been named Managing Shareholder of the Newark office. Mr. Pudell concentrates his practice in insurance recovery for corporate policyholders and is also an experienced commercial litigator. He has successfully handled complex environmental insurance litigation across multiple states for chemical and coating and paint manufacturers. His clients also include major pharmaceutical companies, real estate developers and commercial landlords. Prior to joining Anderson Kill, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable David Landau of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Mr. Pudell holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. from Yeshiva University.
Bennett Pine chair of Anderson Kill’s Employment & Labor Law group, has relocated from the firm’s New York office to Newark. Mr. Pine has broad-based labor and employment law experience and regularly plays a “hands-on” role offering “preventative maintenance” advice and counseling to employers in the full range of legal issues affecting the workplace. He has arbitrated extensively on behalf of management and has represented employers in collective bargaining and before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Previously, Mr. Pine was a partner of Graubard Mollen & Miller and Senior Labor Attorney with the National Broadcasting Company. He holds a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.S. from Cornell University School of Industrial & Labor Relations.
In addition, Anderson Kill’s Newark office has hired three new attorneys: Kenneth Sharperson joins as an attorney in Anderson Kill’s Insurance Recovery Group. He comes to the firm from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he was a Trademark Examiner. Prior to the Trademark Office, Mr. Sharperson worked as an attorney at the Washington, D.C. firm of Gilbert & Randolph, where his practice focused on complex dispute resolution and insurance recovery. Previously, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable John E. Wallace, Jr. of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Mr. Sharperson holds a J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark, where he was elected President of the Student Bar Association and was a member of the Rutgers Moot Court Board and the Association of Black Law Students. He earned his B.S. from Hampton University.
James Serritella joins as an attorney in the Insurance Recovery Group. Mr. Serritella earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School, where he received a CALI Award for academic excellence. He holds a B.A. from Binghamton University.
Andrea Kill joins the firm as a shareholder in the Corporate and Commercial Litigation Group. Ms. Kill holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
